Spring into summer 2010

Bob here,

I’m back! I’ve had a winter of fond memories from last year at Inn at the Moors. In June the beautiful brides arrived. Church bells chimed on a Sunday morn for Maryellen and Eve. The Kellys of Middleton came back to celebrate their 1st anniversary. In 2009 they got married at Herring Cove. The Smiths (ordinary name for an extraordinary couple) returned to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary. They stayed in the same room as in 1974.

During July, Girl Splash was fun in the sun; the first hot weather of the season finally arrived. I watched all the pool action from above. At the end of July, it was Family Week and we really enjoyed Ryan, a thirteen (going on 18) year old extrovert who entertained us at the pool. All the kids had a great time and behaved very well. The parents also behaved.

Also in July, Charlie and Paul made the annual pilgrimage from La Jolla, Ca. Actually we have guests from all over including Canada and Europe. People tell us that this view here is one of the best sights in the world.

In August, the Marinellis and Portlocks rode the 190 mile Pan Mass Challenge again. This is an annual bike race from Sturbridge to Provincetown that raised $30 Million for cancer research last year. The other August event, Carnival Week, we saw all our regular friends (Christine, Will, Janet, Joe) at the BBQ every day having a good old time.

Once again, Gene, Judy and Bonnie with their cheering crew from college days swam the mile from Long Point to the Boatslip for the annual AIDS Swim for Life. Don’t you love those aging hippies. They celebrated by getting a tattoo.

Also in September is the vintage car show. Kurt’s lavender ‘63 Mercury just about fitsin the parking space.

During Women’s Week in October, Chris and Rita from Maine and Brenda and Pam from Louisiana enjoyed an especially exuberant program celebrating Women Innkeepers 25th anniversary. The northeaster that blew in at the end of the week was thrilling, too.

Yo Bob --

Can't wait to see you and your mommies next week. Have bagels -- will travel.
